Myles
m(y)-les
Origin:British
Popularity:265
It’s been a long journey for Myles to gain some cred. A variation of the Germanic name Milo, it was brought to England by the Normans as Miles. Though the name with a “Y” has been a mainstay on the naming charts for more than 100 years, it didn’t hit its stride until the 1970s, reaching its peak popularity a decade later. Going the distance for the name: Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner and the Mayflower’s mighty leader, Myles Standish.
