Lettice

Lettice is a unique feminine name, rarely bestowed though filled with much promise. A variant of Letitia, Lettice comes from the Latin lætitia, meaning “joy,” “gladness,” or “jubilation.” Interestingly, Lettice is the very first iteration of the ancient name, coming to be in Medieval England. It was considered an homage to the Roman goddess of fertility Laetitia, who embodied happiness with abundance and prosperity.
