Kathy

Kathy is a girl’s name of Greek origin. A diminutive of Katherine, which derives from the Greek καθαρός (katharos), Kathy can also be used as a given name in its own right. It means “pure.” Kathy peaked at No. 14 in popularity in 1958, and while it has declined since, it has remained popular. However, girls these days are more likely to go by Katie or Kate. Nevertheless, Kathy is a great choice for baby precisely because it is adorably (and fashionably) retro.
