Kassy

Kassy is a shortened form of the Greek girl’s name Kassandra or Cassandra, meaning “one who shines and excels over man.” In Greek mythology, Cassandra was the daughter of the king and queen of Troy. She was given the gift of prophecy, but cursed so that nobody would ever believe her predictions. One of her most famous prophecies was of the fall of Troy. Cassandra’s story is a sad one, but her name is nonetheless beautiful. This shortened form can be used as a sweet nickname, or as a name on its own.
