Wenceslas

Wenceslas is a boy’s name of Slavic origin. A Latinized form of the Czech name Václav, it means “greater glory.” One of the more notable namesakes is Wenceslas I, the subject of the popular Christmas carol “Good King Wenceslas_,”_ which is based on the story that he braved harsh winter weather to give alms to a poor peasant on the second day of Christmas. So loved was he by all his people that they made him a martyr and saint almost immediately after his death in the 10th century, and within a few decades, four biographies cropped up. He was deemed as the righteous king, an example for all to follow. You can do the same and name your little one after him so that they feel inspired to walk more than a mile in his shoes!
